My name is Graham and I am the Head of PPC (Pay Per Click) at JumpStart Marketing. Having worked in the
Pharmacetucial sector for the last 10 years my passion was always all things IT related weather that meant fixing someone's
email account to designing a website for a local business. I designed my first website
back in 1999 using notepad and a browser, the web has come a long way since then with an
endless stream of technologies that can now be used. Businesses seem to think that if you have a website
then thats good enough to attract new customers and increase profits. Sure it's a good start, but how is someone going to
find your site unless you give them your business card with the web address and if they do find your site is it
good enough to make that all important first impression.
For example, if you have the same website for the last 5 years what kind of impression does that make and if someone can't find
it what's the point in the first place. My advice to anyone who asks me is quite simple, move with the times and update your
site at least every 2-3 years, trends change and so does the web.
In terms of marketing your site, PPC is a great way to get instant results. PPC is different than SEO. A high ranking PPC campaign can be activated
in a couple of hours, the key is to ensure that your PPC specialist (yes thats me!) continually analyses the account
to ensure total optimaisation for your keywords.
