The website appears highly on Google.ie for many different keywords. You can expect hundreds of visitors to the site each month. If you renting the site then the visitor numbers and rankings are likely to increase as more work will be performed throughout the year.

This is a trusted website online with a decent PR so there is a good opportunity for marketeers to turn it into a directory site if they wanted. Actually, if this site doesn’t sell in the next few weeks I think I will change it into a directory site myself!

How do we update our website?

One of the most frequently asked questions I hear from new and existing clients is “How do we update our website”. This can be a very daunting task for a lot of people who are not IT savvy, and it can even be very daunting for people who are competent PC users. There is no simple answer for this question, as it all depends on how the website was created in the first place.

Web maintenance is a very important aspect of having your own web presence, as websites need to change constantly. You might need to update your website with new prices for goods on sale, for special offers coming in or latest news you want to share with your customers.

Lets breakdown web development into two basic forms:

• Website’s developed with raw source files (html,php,css,asp etc)
• Websites developed with a Content Management System (CMS)

CMS Vs Non CMS

The most common form of web development we come across are sites developed from non CMS’s where the developer either hand codes all of the files or uses a web development tool such as Dreamweaver of Wordpress. If you are left in this situation it can be very difficult to update your website without basic knowledge of at least HTML/CSS/PHP or any other scripting language that is used.

2. Then I submit the article to Digg.com, I find that this is the best social news website for people to discover and share content from anywhere on the Internet
3. After that I enter the article to our Facebook group page, so even if our readers don’t check out our blog they will be notified of our new content through their Facebook alerts.
4. Our Facebook fan page is directly linked to our Twitter account, so our Twitter is updated automatically, a feature that I really like.
5. Then I submit the article to our LinkedIn page so our LinkedIn fiends can also read our nuggets of wisdom.

Obviously there is much more you can do in order to publicise each article you write, but I find following the above steps, always help my articles rank highly with Google.
