Managing Director
Head of SEO
Hi my name is Shane and I am one of the founding members of JumpStart Marketing. We are a young, energetic and creative company. I have been working in the search marketing and web design industry for nearly six years now. Having initially started off as a web designer, I quickly learned the importance of getting your website found on the Internet. When web design clients come back to you complaining that they have a fancy ass website but no visitors then that makes you sit-up and notice. I learn from my mistakes. What is the point of having a website if you can't bring visitors to it? This sparked off my interest in search marketing.
I joined one of Ireland’s top digital marketing agencies – Digino Marketing. Having worked my way up to the position of Head of Search Marketing I decided to start my own company – JumpStart. Strangely enough it was the recession that helped me make the final decision to start JumpStart. Having seen first hand how quickly the Internet marketing business was expanding and seen the prices being charged rise and rise, I thought that this business model was unsustainable during a recession. Value for money plays a key part in what I stand for. There is no rip-off Ireland here.
Managing Director
Head of PPC
My name is Graham and I am the PPC (Pay Per Click) expert at JumpStart. Having worked in the Pharmacetucial sector for the last 10 years my passion was always all things IT related whether that meant fixing someone's email account to designing a website for a local business. I designed my first website back in 1999 using notepad and a browser, the web has come a long way since then with an endless stream of technologies that can now be used. Businesses seem to think that if you have a website then thats good enough to attract new customers and increase profits. Sure it's a good start but how is someone going to find your site unless you give them your business card with the web address and if they do find your site is it good enough to make that all important first impression.
For example if you have the same website for the last 5 years what kind of impression does that make and if someone can't find it what's the point in the first place. My advice to anyone who asks me is quite simple, move with the times and update your site at least every 2-3 years, trends change and so does the web.
In terms of marketing your site, PPC is a great way to get instant results. PPC is different than SEO. A high ranking PPC campaign can be activated in a couple of hours, the key is to ensure that your PPC expert (yes thats me) continually analyses the account to ensure total optimaisation for your keywords.
